These are vintage Cast Iron items: a White Route 66 Bottle Opener (great for a man cave, bar area, workshop or garage) measuring 6.5" x 4" and has 2 holes ready to hang, an amusing sign/plague with four holes ready to hang, that reads - On this site in 1897, Nothing Happened, and measures 7 1/8" x 3 1/8", a miniature cat paperweight/decorative that measures 2.5" x 1.5" x 1.5", a cat door stop that measures 3.75" x 2", a set of regal German Shepard Book Ends that measure 3.5" x 1.75" x 5.75" each, a rabbit door stop measuring 7.75" x 2.25", a Popeye Bank (Popeye first appeared in newspaper comics in 1929 and has been a beloved figure ever since - he stands just over 5.5" tall/bank can be opened by removing a screw on his back), and a Rich Fat Cat Coin Bank - Stamped J.E. Stevens, Pat. 12/24/1891. When the Stevens Brothers formed the J & E Stevens Company in Cromwell/1843, they intended to manufacture cast iron hardware and a few iron toys. The success they found in making those toys changed their business plan. The company eventually became the largest producer of cast iron toys in the country. The Fat Cat Man measures 6.5" x 3.5" and the bank can be opened from a screw on his hat. All items are in excellent condition with beautiful patinas.
